June 17th 2008: Foundation awarded Capacitybuilders Grant
In a huge vote of confidence the Tutu Foundation UK has been awarded nearly £0.5m over 3 years to deliver support to 200 grass roots organisations working with 'hard to reach' young people throughout England. Furthermore Minister for the Third Sector Mr Phil Hope MP referred to the Foundation as an example of how the support offered through the 'Improving the Reach' programme would work. In his speech the Minister referred to the unique aspects of ubuntu as a distinctive and innovative aspect of our work.
